I recently designed the logo for very worthwhile non profit run by a friend of mine in L.A.: Toy Drive for Children, formerly Toy Drive for Children with AIDS. My friend explained that, I think, 10 toy drives in LA had recently gone under and that Toy Drive for Children took over to help the former recipients of those toy drives. He explained that while their former toy drive was for children with AIDS, they changed their name to fit all of their recipients. After hearing that, it was my idea to subdue the AIDS message, but to ensure it was still there. An earlier of my versions had the AIDS ribbon as the kite tail, but it worked better as it is now on the kite itself.
